Summary
The event began when Kay Vess made it to the city of Mirogana for the first time.
After passing the imperial inspection, Kay Vess was directed by Waka to Makal's cantina, where she found her way up to Gorak Palas' suite as she witnessed him and the soldiers of the Pyke Syndicate incapacitated an Imperial officer.
Gorak noticed Vess and was initially pleased with her and amused that she had infiltrated into his private suite until Vess mentioned that it was Waka who had directed her to Gorak in search of work. Due to Waka's bad reputation, Gorak ordered his goons to drag Vess out of his suite, which they did, but not before Nix stole his ring.
Returning to the cantina, Vess met with Danka, a contract broker, who told Vess about crime syndicates operating in Mirogana and offered her a job - steal valuable data from the Pykes. The contract that Vess accepted was with the Crimson Dawn leader on Toshara, Eleera Sol, though Danka did not tell Vess this. Sol soon contacted Vess and, without revealing her identity, shared with her important information about the mission.
Vess infiltrated the Pike District and from there made her way through the maintenance areas into the stronghold. The entrance to the central tower was protected by an energy barrier, which Vess and Nyx deactivated. Once inside the tower, Vess took the turbolift up to the top floor.
In Gorak's office, she found a terminal and downloaded a file called "SK01" onto a datacard. Vess sliced the encryption on one of the other files and viewed a recorded holocall between Imperial Governor Thorden and a Pyke named Tizlak Sharr. She also discovered that accessing the terminal had set off an alarm, and as soon as she logged out, two Pyke enforcers ran into the office and attacked her.
Vess defeated her opponents, and despite the base being completely locked down, she and Nyx managed to escape and return back to Mirogana.
In Makal's, she met with Danka and Eleera Soi, Crimson Dawn field agent and Dawn's head of operations on Toshara. Eleera admitted to being behind the contact, giving Vess two fuel injectors to repair her ship. Eleera informed Vess that Zerek Besh had placed a bounty on her head for stealing the Trailblazer. She assured Vess that as long as she worked for Crimson Dawn, Eleera would not tell Zerek Besh about her.
Following Waka's advice, Vess did not tell Eleera about the traitorous Pyke, but later shared this knowledge with Gorak.
